1 August 2008

The following website contains 20 demonstrations from the new Franz-Lambert-Edition optional package.

1 February 2008
The Wersi Austria site has some further new sound samples which can be auditioned at: http://www.wersi.co.at/shop/index.php?cPath= 29_50_58

(Update 3rd February: this link is to their latest additions. Since I placed it here the site has moved the contents which had a "January 2008" header into the main sounds area. The "January" sounds included various guitar sounds plus the solo violin sound. At 3rd Feb there are no "February" sounds yet. Possibly this link may be valid for new sounds each month!)

22 December 2007
The Wersi Austria site has a demo of the Drums 2007 package at:  www.wersi.co.at/shop/index.php?cPath=1_7& sort=2a&page=1

There are also demos of some new sounds that are available to purchase at:

Bill has provided more YouTube links:
Leigh Wilbraham giving an orchestral sounds demonstration on his Abacus
Brett Wales playing at the Wersi Sommerfest : Video 1, the Louvre; Video 2, the Scala; Video 3, the Louvre.

Bill has also provided the following VST information:
NI is updating 3 of its VSTi with Kontakt 4  and Guitar Rig 4  being of interest to Wersi owners. Also if you are into the Synth sounds then Absynth has also been updated to V5. For a complete package, Komplete has also been updated to V6. (Interestingly Akoustic Piano has been removed from it)
NOTE: You will most definitely need at least a Dual Core CPU and 2GB of Ram with ideally a 2nd hard disk to get the best out of these. (The more the better). Enjoy your investigation of the sites, and don’t forget to listen to the demos.

Wersi has also announced a special offer on a new Pegasus Wing Keyboard. By paying a deposit of 1500 Euros before 30 September, three Optional Sound Packages will be included free. Contact Wersi HQ at Halsenbach.

It advertises a new stand system for the Abacus instruments.

This Newsletter download link has also been placed permanently on our Wersi Express News page.

Bill has supplied us with two links for the New Year.  The first is to YouTube for a video of Chris Hopkins playing “The Closest Thing to Crazy” on the Blackpool Tower Louvre.  The second is to details about Claudia Hirschfeld’s new CD “Classicals” where there are four short extracts to listen to.

...and another link from Bill, this time our very own David Dunlap with a fantastic arrangement of “Java” on his Wersi Scala which he’s now illustriously calling his “OpenArt Orchestra”.
